How Quantum Biofeedback Helps Improve your Immune System

It is known that chronic stress turns off the effectiveness of your immune system. With Quantum Biofeedback, we detect, reduce, and manage your stress, as well as check the causes of your stressors, which can cause disease.

How is this done? We do an EEG Brain Rate Variability Scan, ECG Heart Rate Variability Scan, and an EMG GSR Electromyography scan with Galvanic Skin Response to detect the muscular tension in the spine at the beginning of your quantum biofeedback session. Then retest at the end of your session to see the percentage of improvement.

According to the Heartmath Institute, Heart Rhythm variability patterns of frustration, anxiety, worry, fear, and irritation create incoherent wave patterns. Helping the body shift to positive emotions, appreciation, gratitude, universal love, and courage create coherent wave patterns.

Relationship between Stress and Immune System

According to Stanford University Medical School in research released in 1998 by Dr. Bruce Lipton, a highly renowned and respected cell biologist who wrote the book, The Biology of Belief, stress is the cause of at least 95% of all illness and disease.

Even the U.S. Federal Government, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), says on their website that 90 percent of all illness and disease is related to stress. Just about any authoritative source you can name agrees – Harvard, Yale, Vanderbilt, The Mayo Clinic, and the list goes on.

Especially notable is what the Harvard Medical School says on their website. “Too much stress for too long creates problems with your immune system.   ‘Chronic stress’ has also been linked to heart disease, stroke, and may even influence cancer and chronic respiratory diseases.

Chronic stress in the body can come from many sources such as limiting beliefs about life, emotional issues, toxicity, allergens, bacteria, viruses, chemicals, dehydration, deadlines with work, overworking, and much more.

According to the National Institute of Health research, physiological stress or psychological stress affects the immune system. Broadly, the immune system comprises of cells, proteins, organs, and tissues that work together to protect against bodily disease and damage.  During acute stress lasting a matter of minutes, certain kinds of cells are mobilized into the bloodstream, potentially preparing the body for injury or infection during “fight or flight.” Acute stress also increases blood levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines.  Inflammation is a necessary short-term response for eliminating pathogens and initiating healing, but chronic, systemic inflammation represents the deregulation of the immune system and increases the risk for chronic diseases, including atherosclerosis. Another consequence of chronic stress is the activation of latent viruses. Latent virus activation can reflect the loss of immunological control over the virus, and frequent activation can cause wear-and-tear on the immune system.

Quantum Biofeedback and Stress Reduction

Quantum Biofeedback can help release daily stress and actually program the mind to handle stress better, so immune is not compromised. It also can work more deeply on the causes of the stress in as little as 2 – 3 sessions. Most of the processes are also designed to release the root cause of the stress.

Stress Management, Stress Detection, and Stress Reduction Techniques help explore cognitive restructuring- a strategy to change the way we perceive.

Quantum Biofeedback will help identify the warning signs and causes of stress, whether it is behavioral, psychological, physical, or environmental.

No one can avoid all stress. Still, one can counteract its detrimental effects by learning how to produce the relaxation response with Quantum Biofeedback, a state of deep rest that is the polar opposite of the stress response. The relaxation response puts the brakes on stress and brings the body and mind back into a state of equilibrium.

When the relaxation response is activated, the:

  • heart rate slows down
  • breathing becomes slower and deeper
  • blood pressure drops or stabilizes
  • muscles relax
  • blood flow to the brain increases

In addition to its physical calming effects, the relaxation response with Quantum Biofeedback also increases energy and focus, combats illness, relieves aches and pains, heightens problem-solving abilities, boosts motivation and productivity, as well as improving the immune system.

Some coping strategies may temporarily reduce stress, but they cause more damage to your immune system:

  • Smoking
  • Drinking too much
  • Bingeing on junk or comfort food
  • Zoning out for hours in front of the TV or computer
  • Withdrawing from friends, family, and activities
  • Using pills or drugs to relax
  • Sleeping too much
  • Procrastinating
  • Filling up every minute of the day to avoid facing problems
  • Taking out the stress on others (lashing out, angry outbursts, physical violence)

If your methods of coping with stress are not contributing to your greater emotional and physical health, it is time to try Quantum Biofeedback.
